Gourmet Body Treats was founded by Waleska Agosto for a very important reason. She had very a very sensitive skin condition called rosacea

The daughter of an American Serviceman, she was raised partly in the tropical islands of the Caribbean and later in Germany. In her younger years she worked in gardens, and gained a great respect for the plants and wild life of the local islands. In her teens Waleska went to school in Germany. She gained a great appreciation for products that aren’t far removed from the simple pleasures of the “mom and pop shop”.

Later she would bring those lessons to America. Frustrated with the irritations, and complications she had with the chemical filled bath, body and skin care products that she found in the US; she started making these products for her self. She attended university in Central Texas and was frequently making products for friends and family. Eventually she started a small website, and in the coming years her husband and family would become trusted owner employees.

Today Gourmet Body Treats has grown quite a bit, but we’re still family owned, and we still make our products the old fashioned way. One small batch at a time to insure quality, using the highest quality ingredients money can buy, poured and packaged by hand.

The Fashion Network Association (FNA) was formed to act as a bridge between the students and Alumni of San Francisco State University and the vast Fashion Industry. FNA provides the backdrop for students and alumnae with a passion for fashion to increase their knowledge and enhance their skills through industry relevant experiences such as; creating and producing fashion activities and events both on and off campus; developing and writing articles for their own periodical fashion newsletter; and by attending networking events with industry professionals to provide a broader lens through which to see their future. Through these activities FNA members gain real life experience in fields such as; public relations, fashion journalism, event production, fashion marketing, fashion styling and fund raising.

MIRA TORRES is a freelance beauty, fashion, and eco-living writer whose links and articles have been featured on various online publications including San Francisco’s  7×7 and Blackbook magazine. She studied Fashion Merchandising at the Academy of Art University and holds a degree in Psychology from Ashford University.  When she’s not indulging in her fashion and beauty product obsession, she likes to paint, horribly sing to music in the car, read trashy fiction, and force feed homemade “gourmet” food to her husband & son.
